Is the Truth of Yoga Communicable?

Today, a bit of a mash-up, combining the “problem page” theme with some podcasts.

Q: How can one help others to grasp the gravitas, difficulty, subtlety and depth of yoga philosophy and yoga’s answers to life’s biggest questions without sounding sanctimonious?

The following interviews don’t answer the question – at least not directly – but they hopefully illustrate how I engaged with it in writing my book, The Truth of Yoga, and in related courses I’ve been teaching online (about which more here).

I hope to respond more fully with another book soon, but it helps to be humble. I’m not really sure I have “the answer” to anything – not least being a human with half a century of flaws. That said, I find it helpful to see how the wisdom in yogic traditions relates to life’s challenges, and I like trying to share that experience with others.

For now, a couple of chats that include a bit of background on how I got into all this, as well as key principles of yoga philosophy, and common misunderstandings. The first, which has just been released, is with Amy Landry for her Living in Alignment podcast. You can find it on Spotify, Apple and elsewhere, or stream it below:
