Great interview. I bought her book in print and audio.

She said religion is always political [or influenced by or influences].

I previously read that the practice in monasteries isn’t necessarily largely based on meditation. One American monk said that he lived in Dharmashsla and that was his experience vs the Dali Lama who spends hours a day meditating.
